Trust me DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!
I had a MM winch worst waste of money by far, had winch for years barely ever had to use it and most times i did have to use it is when it wouldnt work without messing with it, had to remove all grease in planetary and replace to get free spool to work so cable could be pulled out.
Just bought new truck and decided to give this POS one last try and put it on the new truck as usual it wouldnt work, tapped on the solenoid no go, took apart cleaned and reinstalled all wiring still no go, at this point frustration is running pretty high, took motor off and i was shocked, motor looked as if it had been submerged in a lake for 20 years solenoid was just as bad.
This winch had never been below water EVER but yet everything in the motor and solenoid was shot as if they had been.
I have another winch build by someone else that is 20+ years old, never has it been covered and YES it has been submerged in water and sloppy mud more times than i can remember and to this day works as it did new the MM has just been subjected to snow and rain and from the water/rust lines inside the motor has filled with water multiple times.
This is totally unacceptable and poor quality
